Why Scotland for Arbitrations? Why should parties to a dispute select to come to Scotland to have their Arbitration heard? Scotland is a signatory to the UNCITRAL rules. This means that international arbitrations can be undertaken in Scotland and the decree arbiteral enforced in over 125 co-signatory countries. When contracts have been formed under the substantive laws of other jurisdictions, the Arbitration can be carried out in that law.
